Ambiente Perfection

I really liked the beginning's ambient tones. I didnt like the trancish beginning middle, because i feel that this song would be better as a full ambient song. And the drums were good in the beginning (because it was ambient), but when you have more trancish leads, increase the volume (or compression =P) on the drums to make sure that the rythm still flows, because at some point, the snare sounded like an off kick or something. And the melody was nice. Loved the ending. Please make more, and I wanna collab, just as a question, how many hours did it take for this? (truth plz, wont affect anything, i just want to know how much time i should spend doing something like this for my next song ^_~)

Ambient beginning was on accident actually. I wanted to calm myself down and well ambient is how I did it. Right before the creation of the song I was emotionally hit by something personal to me and it calmed me down.

As to hours put into this song well lets see... I started at 6ish and worked to 2 AM in the morning with a 2 or so hour break in the middle of it (had to play some Halo3). Then I spent another 4 hours or so working on it the next day tweaking the mix tracks and rendering it to make sure it was all good. So lets say about 10 hours or so put into the track give or take an hour or so. Time spent shouldn't be a factor, if your happy with the way it sounds then it's done. You can always go back to improve something. Don't rush something just to get it done, make sure your happy.

Maybe a collab is in our future who knows if you have AIM or MSN you can add me by checking my user page. My news post has my AIM and MSN in it which is also my E-mail. We can chat and over time we might just form a collab.

nice

sounds good, not a "memorable tune" but thats ok, its sill pretty good, just give a more harmonic piano melody. And not as predictable. Add some more airy sounds and it can be trance, for techno, turn that piano into a heavy synth and add some hard bass, and put some extra beats with a prominent kick, and sudden ending.

Reminds me of those progressive songs by arctica (airflow), which inturn sounds kinda like sail (but better) by Armin van Buuren, congrats!

i think that the first 7 seconds are good, but then the new melody gets anoying. so first 7 seconds good, put more repeat!

Wow this is cool, its hard to find people on Newgrounds who actually submit true Euro-Trance, all the stuff u find here is random dance music with trance beats. D:
+ Good Kick-Bass Relation
+ Good Popping/Repeating Melodic Sounds
- No Main Melody - It's mostly Repeating Melodic Sounds

its interesting... I like the melody. but try to change the kick loop, its very repetitive... and thats not good. You have the same kick for 3 minutes. Also make sure to add DISTINCTIVE drum loops. you added some other instruments, but the main click click click feeling of the kick didnt change, making it seem repetitive.
-Add more Kick Loops
-Good Melody
-Too Fast for trance - keep bpm at 140-160

I know. I was not going to add any kicks to it in the first place since i havnt done much with kicks and stuff. I'm practicing with the synths atm. So far i think i've done a pretty good job. I know i shouldn't have added the kick for 3 minutes but i was like ahh what the heck couldnt hurt. :P

What program are you using? Make sure to use an orginal music production program, rather than one that just puts togehter loops.

And for techno, add a more stable sounding kick loop, the one you have sounds like hip hop.

But im sure you can do wonders.
